I too remember Vickie from our days together at SJA. I am so sorry for your loss and will be keeping the entire family in my prayers.
I remember Vickie from our days together at SJA. What I remember most was her kind heart, sense of humor and her beautiful smile. I still have a copy of her graduation picture with a note on the back. I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my thoughts and prayers for you, her loved ones, to help you through the dark days and the wonderful memories you have of her.
Vickie was a really friendly classmate. What I remember the most about Vickie was her good natured laugh and sense of humor. God bless her. I'll keep her family in my prayers.
My good friend Vickie befriended me in 1961 when my family moved to Windsor Heights from Indiana and I entered SJA as a junior and was the "new kid." We became the best of buddies and had so many good times. On Saturday nights we'd go to the dances at the Peppermint Lounge (as I recall it was called) at the Des Moines Ice Arena on Hickman Rd. I so enjoyed the Hardie family and I called Vickie's mom "Momsie 2." Am so sorry that Vickie has passed, but I'm sure we're all comforted by the fact that she is again with her beloved Dave, her sister Eileen, and her parents. Rest in peace, ol' friend....
So very sorry to read this. May God wrap His arms around you and your whole family. THINKING OF YOU ALL!!!
