Marjorie Marie Mulder, age 83 of Pella and formerly of Parkersburg, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at The Cottages in Pella. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Prairie City Christian Reformed Church. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg. The family will greet friends on Sunday, May 20, 2018, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be directed to Dordt University and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com
The daughter of George B. and Martha (Fisher) Primus, Marjorie was born on July 23, 1934 in Steamboat Rock, Iowa. Marjorie graduated from High school and attended Central College for one year. On June 16, 1954, she was united in marriage to Herbert Mulder. They made their home in Parkersburg until 2008 and moved to Prairie City. In 2014, they moved to Pella. Marjorie was a member of the Parkersburg Christian Reformed Church and the Prairie City Christian Reformed Church. Marjorie enjoyed watching basketball, crocheting but most of all the time she spent with her family and friends.
Those left to honor her memory include her children; Douglas Mulder, Milton (Carol) Mulder, Donna (Rienco) DeJong, Susan (Mike) Halma, Brenda (Duane) Brandhof, John (Rebecca) Mulder, Phil (Fran) Mulder, and Lori (Russ) Natelborg; 14 grandchildren; one great grandchild and her siblings; Helen Faye Landhuis, Gladys (Ray) Brinks, Carol (Gary) Beyer and David (Judy) Primus. Also surviving are many nieces nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of over 60 years, Herbert.

Marjorie had that little smile that would come out. I enjoyed her very much. just about 10 days ago one of her daughters was sitting in the chair next to her and I was next to Marjorie. her daughter had fallen asleep during the music. Marjorie and I looked at her and then we had big smiles about the fact that she had fallen asleep. I am missing her. thank you for sharing your loved one with us. it was a privilege to know her.
