I will miss him walking into the Sanctuary (in later years his struggle to do so was heart wrenching and yet he always made the walk, genuflecting so humbly.) You could "see his humble faith". I will miss him telling the eucharistic minister to hold onto the cup so he wouldn't drop it! Sometimes he could be brusque and we didn't always see eye to eye but he truly inspired me! He worked hard around the church and though he didn't always like changes made he accepted them after a time! I am confident that he was carried into the arms of Jesus and looks down from Heaven with rue joy! Godspeed Rick!

Rick was our dear friend. Every time we were in Colfax, he would come by for a visit. Rick always had wonderful stories of our families from the past. He was so upbeat and thankful for everything he had. Rick loved Jesus with all his heart. He was and still is, an inspiration to us all, how important it is to keep God first in your life.
