Candy M. Deitrick, age 43 of Colfax, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Howard Street Christian Church. Visitation will be held on Friday January 27, 2012 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at church. The family will greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the Candy Deitrick Memorial Fund and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.
The daughter of Donald Edward and Millie M. (Miller) Dobbs, Candy was born on May 19, 1968 in Chandler, Arizona. On March 31, 1990, she was united in marriage to Douglas Deitrick. Candy received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development form the University of Northern Iowa in 2009. Kids were her life. She was also a member of the Howard Street Christian Church.
Those left to honor her memory include, her husband, Douglas of Colfax; her three children, Leressa (Cody) Lamberson of Adel, Bryanna Deitrick and Jacob Deitrick of Colfax; her parents, Millie of Colfax, her father Donald of New Mexico; two sisters, Cindy (Randy) Woods and Carrie (Danny) Haney both of Colfax; and two brothers, Shane (Mary Jane) Dobbs of Minnesota and Shawn (Tonya) Dobbs of Monroe. Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. H.O. Miller and Mr. & Mrs. Charles Dobbs, Sr.
