Obituary
Vera Ione Stoner Schlosser, the daughter of Harold F. and Blanche Patterson Stoner, passed away peacefully at her home in Prairie City with her family present on Thursday, April 26, 2012. A private service was held on Sunday, April 29. Memorials may be made in her name to the Hospice of Pella.

Born on May 9, 1916, Vera was a graduate of Prairie City High School and attended the American Business College. Prior to her marriage she worked at Broadlawns General Hospital and she also worked at Bankers Life Insurance for several years prior to her husband's death.

She accepted Christ in June 1933 and was a member of the Prairie City Christian Church. She was also a member of the O.D.O. Club and enjoyed her bridge clubs.
Vera was blessed with the love of her parents, sisters, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and the many friends who surrounded her.
She is survived by two daughters, Judi Mae Galpin and her partner John VanHaalen of Prairie City and Jeanine Faye Hutchinson and her husband Oren of Cave Creek, AZ; five grandchildren, Todd Schlosser and his wife Michelle of Germantown, WI, Scott Galpin of Pleasantville, Jim Galpin and his wife Jen of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Laura Dawn Murphy and husband Daron of Brooklyn, NY, and Nick Majersky of San Diego, CA; and two great-grandchildren, Kayla and William Schlosser. Vera was preceded in death by her first husband William, her second husband Raymond Schilder, her son William, sisters Evelyn McClellan and Irene Wilson, her parents, and sisters-in-law Mildred Caldwell and Leta Schlosser.
