Mildred was a member at the Prairie City Christian Reformed Church, where she taught Sunday school and was active in the Ladies Aid. Mildred was a devoted farm wife always ready to pitch in with what ever needed to be done. She and William enjoyed their vegetable garden and her time with her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents, four sisters, Wilma Van Zee, Dorothy DeKoning, Leona Van Soelen and Maria Vos and three brothers, William and Gerrit Branderhorst and an infant brother.
I took care of Mildred, "Milli" as we would call her for a year at the hospital. She was such a joy! We shared some dutch language along the way, which she taught me some things i didn't know! I will keep those fine memories along with that ornery smile of hers in my heart forever. I loved being around her and "Willie". They were quite the couple. May the good Lord wrap his arms around you and give you strength in your time of need. My deepest sympathy to family as they burry their loved one today. She will be greatly missed at PRHC.
