Bonnie Jeanne
Fagg
Feb 4, 1950 — Jun 7, 2025
Bonnie Jeanne Fagg, age 75, went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2025, in Colfax, IA. She passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by the love and devoted care of her family.
Bonnie was born on February 4,1950 to Raymond and Lillian (Evertsen) Bell of Colfax. Bonnie was the second oldest of her five siblings: Michael (Irma) Bell, Andy (Sharon) Bell, Mark (Denise) Bell, Mary (John) McCleary and David Bell.
Bonnie was a kind soul with a contagious laugh. She was always welcoming, ready to make room for one more person and fed whoever walked through the door. In true Bell family spirit, she loved family get togethers for any occasion, but especially Halloween, the 4th of July and the Bell Family Christmas. The more people, fun, food and games there was, the better! She was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, mother, wife, mother-in-law, grandma, friend and hostess.
She worked at Bankers Life / Principal Financial Group for over 30 years and later worked at Wal-Mart in Newton. She attended TOPS in Newton for many years. Bonnie made friends no matter where she was. What she cherished the most was time spent with family.
Bonnie was most proud of her sons, Jim (Shannon) Woodyard of Bondurant and Tim (Christie) Woodyard of Altoona, along with her grandchildren, Jessie, Wesley, Brooke and Laci Woodyard. She loved being a grandma! Her favorite was bouncing the grandkids on her knee, singing 'Jet Black Pony' when they were little.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 36 years, Arvin Fagg, infant sister Carla, brother Michael Bell and infant granddaughter, Shea Lynn Woodyard.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, June 11,10:30AM at the First Baptist Church of Colfax. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 9:30AM. Bonnie will be laid to rest in the Colfax Cemetery immediately after the service. A luncheon will be held at the church following the burial. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in memory of Bonnie to the family. Checks may be made payable to Tim Woodyard and can be dropped off at the church or mailed to the funeral home at 24 West Howard Street Colfax, Iowa 50054.
