Carl Dee Knight Jr., age 66 of Monroe and formerly of Des Moines, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at his home. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Monroe United Methodist Church. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

Carl Was the son of Carl D Knight Sr. and Ana Mae (Welker). He was born on February 6, 1956, in Phoenix Arizona. On December 7, 1973, he was united in marriage to Vicky S. Christenson in Phoenix, Arizona. Carl worked as a carpenter until he retired in 2018. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and most of all his 1947 international Rat Rod Truck, which he took to GOOD GUYS CAR SHOW every year. He would also take it to other local car shows, he made so many good friends throughout the years at these shows. The thing he loved the most was spending time with his family. He was always teasing and aggravating one of the kids.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Vicky; his children, Carl Dee Knight, III, Tammy Lynn Knight, Richard Lee Knight, and Brayden Kelly Knight; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and two sisters, Terri (Brian) Freeman and Kimberly (Cary) Lambros. Preceding Carl in death were his parents.
