Carroll Jennings, age 95 of Mitchellville, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017, at Altoona Nursing and Rehab. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. Burial will follow at Franklin Township Cemetery. Visitation for Carroll will take place on Monday, April 3, 2017, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Carroll Jennings Memorial Fund and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com The son of Arthur and Faye (Bishop) Jennings, Carroll was born on May 12, 1921, in Prairie City. He graduated from Prairie City High School. On March 10, 1945, he was united in marriage to Hazel Ellen Bailey in Altoona. He enjoyed photography and the outdoors. Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Linda (Cal) Brink of Mitchellville; four grandchildren, Kelly (Kelly) Morse, Deanne (Andy) Vespestad, Kimberley (Brian) Burgett, and Kylie (Jason) Johnstad and eleven great grandchildren, Drew, Erin, Taylor, Brooklynn, Alyssa, Justin, Brayden, Jordyn, Evan, Lillian and Owen. Preceding him in death were his parents, wife in 2010 and a sister, Virginia Haueter
