Charlotte Ann Alderman, age 85 of Colfax, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026 at The Bridges of Ankeny. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.   Burial will take place at the Colfax Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Quarry Springs Park. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The daughter of Paul D. and Virginia June (Kintz) Hill, Charlotte was born on November 3, 1940 in Colfax, Iowa. She graduated from Colfax High School in 1958. On December 27, 1960, she was united in marriage to Carl L. Alderman in Colfax. Charlotte enjoyed gardening, watching the birds and quilting. She had made and given away more than 400 quilts to family and friends. She also loved to travel with Carl on the motorcycle. Charlotte also had many friends, some of whom she went to school with and were friends for life.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Lance E (Jane) Alderman and Shelly K. (Paul Stumpff) Alderman; her sister, Lynda (Keith) Hidok; a brother, Dennis (Judy) Hill and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Carl and a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Doug Holdefer.
