Charlotte Lenore Mays (Oglesbee), age 86, of Bondurant, Iowa, passed away on August 18, 2024. A private family celebration of life will be held later. The daughter of Harley and Rejina (Fortune) Oglesbee, Charlotte was born in rural Madison County on February 12, 1938. Throughout her entire life she worked hard as a clerk for insurance companies, excelling in organization. In her pastime, she spent hours working on various art projects. She received some art school training, held a great passion for oil paintings and pastels, and became an accomplished artist. Charlotte also liked to read; her home was filled with books. She cared deeply for her family.

Those left to honor Charlotte's memory include her sons; Michael (Jackie) Mays, of Boulder City, Nevada and John (Pam) Mays, of Mingo, Iowa, a brother; Robert Oglesbee, of Harlingen, Texas, and four grandchildren; Austin, Elizabeth, Meredith, and Emily.

Preceding her in death were her parents; Harley and Rejina (Fortune) Oglesbee, and a brother; Dean Oglesbee.
