Edith Mae Hutchison died at The Village in Newton, Iowa on April 17, 2018. She is survived by her sons Robert (Dawn) Hutchison of Runnells, Iowa, Larry (Lori) Hutchison of Duncanville, Texas and John (Colleen) Hutchison of Sacramento, California, as well as seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear sister, Margaret Stokely of Richmond, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, and siblings Jean, Helen, Lawrence, Denise and Marilyn. Edith worked as a farmer, homemaker, teacher and aide. She had many interests, including woodworking, fishing, sewing and cooking. Edith was an avid reader and bridge player. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and extended family. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Prairie City, Iowa, followed by a burial service at the Carlisle Cemetery in Carlisle, Iowa. The family will greet friends on Friday, April 20, 2018, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City If you would like to make a memorial contribution in Edith's honor, please do so to The Village in Newton, Iowa, where Edith lived from October 2010 until her death.
