Glinda Sue Gascon (Vanderford), age 77, of Colfax, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025. Per Glinda's wishes no services will be held. The daughter of Bill and Ella Mae Vanderford, Glinda was born in Columbus, Kansas, on October 5, 1948. Later she moved to Coffeyville, then Des Moines and eventually moved to her acreage in Colfax. Glinda worked a few jobs but fell in love with dog grooming. Throughout her entire life she adored dogs. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, watching the wildlife in her yard, flowers and plants. In her younger years she loved attending car shows, camping, boating, riding motorcycles, and flying in airplanes with family. Glinda was feisty, but she had a big heart and would do anything for her children, family, and friends.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Tim (Michelle) Carpenter, Shelly (Scott) Lundholm, Melanie Zyzanski, and her fur-baby Amelia; grandkids, Jesse, Chance, Megan, Mia, Blake, Lochlan, and Baron; great-grandkids, Leo, Max, Owen, Bennett, and Lorelei; three siblings, Billie, Linda, and Berniece; two nieces, Carmin and Lori; as well as several other extended family members.

Preceding Glinda in death was her husband, Ken Carpenter; her parents, Bill and Ella Mae Vanderford (Wright); two brothers, Larry and Stanley; and two sisters, Darline and Pat.
