Gregory "Gregg" Jule Case, 73, of Colfax, Iowa, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Traditions Memory Care in Newton.

Gregg was born in Colfax, Iowa to Norman and Whelma Case. He grew up in Colfax and attended Colfax High School. Following high school, he was drafted during the Vietnam war and proudly served his country in Germany.

After his military service, Gregg built his career as a die setter at Maytag where he worked for many years. Gregg had a deep love for the outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing and spending time outside whenever he could. He was a devoted fan of the Iowa State Cyclones and wouldn't miss a game.

Gregg is survived by his four sons, Jamie Green, Joel (Chrissy) Green, David (Richard) Emmons, and Scott (Maranda) Case. He is also survived by his oldest sister, Janice (Ron) Wing, and his granddaughter Eastyn Case.

Preceding Gregg in death were his parents, and two siblings, George Case and Judy Ross.

Gregg will be remembered for his love of fishing and the outdoors as well as his love of the Cyclones.
