The daughter of Fred and Eva Snyder (Conner), Patty was born on October 27, 1948, in Leon, Iowa. Patricia married Dan Regnier on November 27th, 1970, at the Prairie City Christian Church. Together, they raised four children and touched the lives of many exchange students through the years. She worked many years as a sales associate for her brother and later on her nephew at The Body Parts Store. Patty was a natural conversationalist and loved working in sales. Later, she worked with her daughter Nicole, selling Signature HomeStyles. Meeting new people was a joy, and she never knew a stranger.
Patty lived a full life, and she was one of a kind. Her and Dan hosted 18 exchange students over the years. She loved to have fun, and she defined fun in a variety of ways. In her early years, she was an avid bowler. When her kids were growing up, Patty and Dan's house was always open. Kids came in and out, and she was always thrilled to see them. Oftentimes, food was included in these visits. Patty mastered baking and cooking, a rare feat. She loved to travel with her family, and her bucket list trip was Hawaii. Patty worked hard and earned a trip to Hawaii, a vacation she'd never forget. Throughout her life, she had an impeccable green thumb. Patty loved flowers and had a knack for keeping them looking wonderful. She and Dan also enjoyed going to Iowa State football games. They held season tickets for over 30 years and rarely missed a home game.
Patty will be remembered for her excitement towards life. She loved her family, loved her work, and lived with strong character. She was always willing to help someone out, even if Dan wasn't sure they could make it work. Her kids said, "Patty would go without, so someone else could have."
Those left to honor her memory include her husband; Dan, her children; Charles Jr., Nicole (Scott) Stravers, Ivana "Joanna" Vujicevic, Marco (Ana) Belchoir, and Tammi (Ryan) Schwickerath, grandchildren; Sophia Stravers, Manuela Belchoir, Logan Schwickerath, Murilo Belchoir, and Alice Belchoir, and her siblings; Jim Snyder and Carol Gilbert.
Included are honorary international children that she grew close with over the years; Marion Stamnes, Malin Snetselaar, and Jennie Offnegardh.
Preceding Patty in death were her parents, a son; Cory Michael Regnier, and a brother; Roy Snyder.
