Randy Gene Brown, age 72, passed away on October 31, 2025, in Des Moines, Iowa. Randy's family will hold a graveside service with military honors at Mitchellville Cemetery in Mitchellville, Iowa, on Saturday, November 22, at 11:00 AM. Memorials may be made out to Randy's family with checks payable to his son, Michael Brown. The son of Jerry and Colleen Brown (Matney), Randy was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on March 8, 1953. He was a graduate of Southeast Polk High School. After graduation, Randy served his country with the Navy for multiple tours in Vietnam. When he returned home, he started driving semis. He'd spend his adult years not only driving semis but working on them as a mechanic too. Randy always had a strong work ethic. He wasn't afraid of showing up and working hard day after day. Randy was united in marriage to Rebecca Coker.

Those left to remember Randy include his children, Mike (Sarah) Brown, Mark (Holly) Brown, and Matt (Kari) Brown; his siblings, Jerry (Judy) Brown, Joe (Sue) Brown, Mark (Sharon) Brown, Betsy (Pat) Hemping, and Greg (Sherry) Brown; as well as 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, as well as various nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding Randy in death was his wife, Rebecca Brown (Coker); and his parents, Jerry and Colleen Brown (Matney).
