Samantha Brown, age 33 of Newton, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020. Private family funeral services will be held at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. Burial will take place at the Colfax Cemetery on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 11:15 a.m. and everyone is welcome to attend, using the guidelines for social distancing. There will be an open visitation on Monday, May 4, 2020 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be used for Samantha's children and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com The daughter of Jeffrey Brown and Lisa (Tilghman) Pierce, Samantha was born on May 15, 1986 in Des Moines. She graduated from Newton High School. Sam was a member of the Howard Street Christian Church. Samantha enjoyed going to the Iowa State Fair, concerts and vacationing in her special place, Anna Maria Island. Her greatest joy however, was the time that she would spend with her kids, family and friends. Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Adam Ruple; her children, Keaton Scott Brown, Paisley Jane Wilson, and Harper Ann Ruple; her mother, Lisa Pierce; father Jeff (Darcy) Brown; sisters, Annie Jo (Colton Jungjohan) Brown and Kodi Jene (Dalton) Machin and her grandparents, Robert (Joyce) Brown. Preceding Samantha in death, her step dad, Scott Pierce and grandparents, Norma Tilghman and LaVern and Bertie Collister.
