Timothy Roy Kendall, age 63 of Altoona and formerly of Colfax passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2026 from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Colfax Historical Society. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Timothy Kendall Memorial Fund. The son of Lowell Leroy Kendall and Mary (De Palma) Johnson, Tim was born of April 29, 1963 in Newton, Iowa. Tim graduated from Colfax-Mingo High School in 1981. He worked at Maytag for over 20 years. He loved the outdoors, especially mushroom hunting or fishing, where he was self considered a "Professional Fisherman." Tim was also into the mystical and fantastical truly believing in Bigfoot. He also enjoyed collecting coins but most of all his family.

Those left to honor his memory include his children, Kady Kendall and Tim Kendall; his mother Mary Johnson; three grandchildren, Milo, Jasper, and River; siblings, Ron (Norma Jean) Kendall, Renee (Eric) Littrell, and Kim (Danny Lester; and his dog Stella. Preceding him in death were his father, Lowell; step father, Larry Johnson, step brother, Tim "T.J." Johnson and uncle, Jim Kendall and an aunt Marge McCuen.
