Vermelle Fern Miller, age 90 of Runnells, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at her home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Lowman Cemetery near Runnells. There will be no visitation. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com. The daughter of Cordis and Agnes (Burnette) West, Vermelle was born on July 5, 1925 in Runnells. She was united in marriage to Wendell B. Miller on September 15, 1944, in Des Moines. Vermelle was a homemaker. In her younger days, she enjoyed dancing with Wendell. She also enjoyed all of the wild life surrounding her home near Runnells. Those left to honor her memory include her son, David Miller of Des Moines; two brothers, Louis West of California and Kenneth West of Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews. Vermelle was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2003 and siblings, William West, James West, Betty Templeton, Donna Kain, Marjorie Launsdale, Darlene Doty, Jack West, Lowman West and Elsie Ingle.
