Violet June Gulling, age 88 of Colfax, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Newton Health Care Center. Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 2:00 pm at McKeever Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 6:00 -8:00 pm at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. Memorials may be directed to the family and condolences may be left at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com The daughter of Simon Thomas and Mary (Teed) Sager, Violet was born on November 19, 1933 in Reasnor, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Robert Wayne Gulling in 1954. Violet loved flowers, shopping and most of all her family. Those left to honor her memory include her children, Bobby (Jolie) Gulling, John (Susan) Shaffer, and Brenda (Craig) Van Ryswyk; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Robert in 2020; a son Mike Shaffer; a grandson; three sisters, and two brothers.
