I just found out by looking for people from Mingo area that I know who have passed. Mavis and I were the bookends of the cousins. She was a sweet lady. You all have my deepest sympathy.
my last baby I had was at Methodist. 47 years ago. she was the best nurse you could ask for. She helped me so much in the labor room and delivery. Kind and patient words calmed me through it. God bless her.
We are thinking of you all and send our love to your wonderful family. Aunt Mavis was a
very special lady and we wish we could be there with you to honor her.

So sorry to hear of Mavis passing, she was such a sweet and kind person. God loaned us a wonderful angel and now she is with family that has gone before. May she RIP ...and may you know how loved you all were by her...Many blessings always
What an awesome and inspiring lady . proud to call her my aunt. Wish there hadn't been so many years that I missed out on due to circumstances. She had an ornery grin right up to entering Glory when something amused her. Saw her for a bit last Saturday and we talked about Gods purpose in keeping her here. She knows it all now! Last year in April I was out in Iowa, and a bluegrass band was singing gospel songs there at the Nursing home. She got a big kick out of them handing me a mic and had me sing a couple with them. I was gonna sneak out. .but one look at her face and that didn't happen ! Another time I visited on a Wednesday when it was Bingo day. I pulled up a chair and asked if I could help. Hadn't been out there for 6 months or so, first thing she says is.."Laurie, ssshhhh...you don't talk during Bingo "! I'm gonna miss her. for now! Laurie
You picked a great picture. This is exactly the way I remember her. Mac and Mavis made a difference in my life. They were the perfect neighbors when I needed them. Beautiful people that left a great legacy.
Our prayers and sympathies are extended to the family and friends of Mavis Henderson.
Beautiful Christian lady. Selfless. Loved the Lord. Mac and Mavis babysat our youngest who is now 17 so we could attend a function when we had no sitter. She loved those babies. Believe she filled in at my gynecologists’ office when she had retired n we shared stories. Heaven gained another angel.
A wonderful lady who raised six great children! RT
I remember when Mavis and Junior would visit out to my grandma's house and Junior would always tease us that he was going to give us "Stick Tee"
My memory of Mavis is when she would come down to my grandma's beauty shop, Abbie's, to get her hair done.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Rest in peace sweet lady 🌹

The first grandchild of F I and Maye Beals Inglis and one of my favorite. Such a sweet lady and she helped deliver my first granddaughter 35 years ago. She welcomed me every time I took the bus back from Omaha ('59-'60) so that I could wait for my Dad to come pick me up and for me to spend a weekend at home.
Soo sorry to hear this! She could tell great stories abt the babies she helped save when she worked ar Blank! She sure was a great wife for Uncle Junior. I don't know if I could have been as understanding since he was an over the road trucker, never home & she raised the kids mainly by her self along with working. Her kids, grandchildren, great grandchildren were her life! She was a true follower of God & his word! What a wonderful aunt & friend she was. I know the hurt this has caused, but she has joined so many of her loved ones again! So many memories & God to help you the tough times in the future. May God wrap his arms around ti comfort you!
